Radioactive: Chapter Six

Radioactive
Chapter Six
~White Wolf Lounge~

Kaiba looked down at the shards of crystals on the slab. He looked over a Jekyll as he crossed his arms. Kiri stood beside him and tried to analyze the shards. There was a silence in the room that was as thick as butter. Kaiba sighed. He tried to calm himself to breath normally.
“What did you say?” Kaiba asked.
Jekyll looked at him, “You didn’t hear me? I thought I was perfectly clear. Maybe I could check your hearing. I said that there is no DNA in any of this crystal. It’s as if the young lady wasn’t even human anymore, like her entire essence was crystal the entire time. Of course we’re still doing some research but as of this moment, she is just a pile of crystal.”
“Crystal doesn’t scream or attack people,” Kaiba said.
“Unless you stand under it when it falls on top of someone,” Kiri said.
Jekyll nodded, “Yes, that would result in some screaming and attacking I would think.”
“How about the lizard’s DNA?” Kaiba asked, “Did you find out anything?”
“Nothing much,” Jekyll answered, “Right now, sadly, we are stumped. All I can do now is ask that if you find another odd Other’s please don’t split or shatter them and get them hear in more or less one piece.”
“So we’re stuck,” Kaiba sighed.
“Unfortunately, yes,” Jekyll said.
Kaiba walked toward the door, “Thank you. Tell me when you find anything new.”
“Right,” Jekyll rolled his eyes, “because I have to do everything you say. You are so bossy and demanding, you know?”
“Sorry,” Kiri apologized for Kaiba’s behavior as she went after him. Jekyll waved a dismissive hand.
Kiri ran after Kaiba. She missed the elevator that Kaiba was in. Annoyed, she turned into the stairwell and ran up the stairs. The blue dot in Kiri’s vision showed Kaiba headed for the lobby. She burst through the stairwell in the lobby and ran to the elevator. It opened as she approached. Kaiba strode out and walked toward the door. Kiri tried to keep up with him.
Bridget looked up from her work, “Are you going out?”
“Yes,” Kaiba said as he walked.
“Um,” Bridget stood up to try to get Kaiba’s attention.
“Forward all calls for Kaiba to my me,” Kiri said on the way out, “Please let Galaxy know we will be off the premise and that if he needs anything to contact us.”
Bridget nodded her head, “Right.”
The door closed and Kaiba walked down the steps. He walked toward the front gates. His pace didn’t slow down and he didn’t seem to care if Kiri could keep up with him or not. He reached the gates, showed an ID and walked past the guards. Kiri ran after him trying to figure out where he was going.
“Shall I borrow a company car?” Kiri asked.
“No,” Kaiba said, “I’ll take a cab.”
Kiri managed to catch up to him and walk alongside him, “May I ask where you are going?”
“I need a drink,” Kaiba said with a plain expression.
“May I remind you that it is against company policy to drink while in active duty with the Tower,” Kiri stated.
“You just did,” Kaiba was in no talking mood.
Kiri sighed and followed the rest of the way in silence. They reached the main streets where she hailed a cab. Kaiba got in and told the address of where he wanted to go. Kiri missed it as she entered the cab and closed the door. As all good cab drivers do, the poor man tried to make conversation. Being in an irritated mood, Kaiba said nothing. Kiri took on the responsibility to talk to the driver in his stead.
They drove into the downtown area towards an area known for its night life. Most of the clubs and bars were close to the alleys but still on the safe side of business. The reached a stretch of road that no cars could go known as State Street. The cab pulled over and Kaiba stepped out. He walked down the pedestrian street while Kiri hurried to pay the driver. She got out of the car and ran to catch up with him.
State Street was filled with the late afternoon crowd out shopping at the local stores or simply hanging out for a place to be. Some of the bars were starting to open, attracting different kinds of people. Kaiba walked through the street. He came to a small alley way that stemmed from the main street. At the end of the alley was the entrance to lounge bar and club called the White Wolf. A man stood up from a chair beside the door. He met with Kaiba and crossed his arms.
“And who might you be?” the man asked.
Kaiba stared the man down, “A paying customer.”
“We don’t open till later,” the man said.
Kaiba sighed, “Would you tell your boss to let me in? He knows who I am.”
The man touched a finger to his ear, “Hey boss, there’s a guy out here wanting to get in…Yeah…How’d you know he was wearing a coat? Should I let him in?... Alright.” The man stepped to one side, “He’s expecting you.”
Kaiba walked in. The lounge was spacious and was actually three levels high, the fourth level being the boss’ office. Several young men and women were doing some last minute cleaning. All of them were dressed in the black and red uniform and dress shoes. Beyond the lounge area, the floor dipped into a dance floor. There was a large enough area for dancing and even a stage for live performances. The place had enough class and style to draw in both the young and old crowd. During the day the doors were open as a hangout for family’s and teens where food and soda were served instead of alcohol. The doors closed around noon and opened again for the night life where one had to be 18 to enter 21 to drink.
Behind the bar was the owner of the establishment. His white hair was long though he didn’t long old enough to have all white hair. He wore a black sleeveless shirt and black pants. His eyes looked up at Kaiba as he cleaned a glass. A black woman sat at the bar, a guitar case was at her feet. Kaiba walked up to the bar and sat down at a stool. Kiri stood nearby and looked around.
“Anyway, I just want to say that it’s a nice thing what’chyou doin’, you know, hirin’ only Alley kids. Gives em’ somethin’ to do other’n get into trouble, know what I mean?” the woman spoke to the bartender.
“Most of the time, those kids are better workers,” the bartender said, “Most of them know that this is their one chance. You tend to work harder knowing you have everything to lose.”
“Mmhmm,” the woman stood up and looked at Kaiba, “Well, I’ll let’chyou get back to your business. I wouldn’t want to be a bother.”
The bartender smiled, “You’re never a bother, April.”
April grabbed her guitar and headed for the door. She raised her hand in farewell, “Seeya, Fang.”
The door closed and Fang turned his attention to his other guest. He looked less pleased to see Kaiba. It was almost a 360 turn of emotions.
“What do you want?” Fang asked.
“Do you have any pure alcohol?” Kaiba asked.
Fang looked at him, “Yes, but we usually add it to other things so people don’t, I don’t know, die. That and it’s under lock and key. Could I interest you in something else?”
“A beer,” Kaiba answered.
“Aren’t you working?” Fang wondered.
“Yes,” Kaiba said
Fang pulled a soda can from under the table and opened it. He grabbed a cup with ice and poured the soda into the glass. Fang pushed the class toward Kaiba and threw the empty can in the trash. Kaiba looked down at the glass.
“This isn’t a beer,” he stated.
“I watered it down for you,” Fang explained, “I even added those carbonated bubbled that everyone loves. Believe me, you’ll love it.”
Kaiba looked up at Fang and took a sip of his drink. He set it down and got to business, “You used to work for the Tower, right?”
“I don’t recall,” Fang stated.
“Well, let’s say you did,” Kaiba said, “Did you ever run into anything unusual?”
Fang raised an eyebrow, “Unusual? That just defined that last few years of my life. I started out having black hair you know.”
“No, I mean other Others,” Kaiba sighed, “Others that just seemed odd or strange in their behavior or appearance.”
Fang stared at Kaiba, “You should stop by my place sometime. You are literally describing to a ‘T’ the people I have to deal with on a daily basis.”
“Mutants,” Kaiba stated.
“You’re talking about mutants that are more mutant than you or I?” Fang thought a moment then shammed the bar, “Nope can’t say that I have. Hypothetically, of course, if I have worked for the Tower. May I ask why you are asking that kind of question?”
Kaiba pulled out a file he snuck out and placed it on the table. Fang looked it over and shook his head.
“That is interesting. Certainly haven’t seen anything like this. Have you tried the circus?” Fang asked. Kaiba looked at Fang. Fang quickly got the message, “Okay, okay. All I’m saying is that place is a cesspool for gossip and information if you know where to look. I suggest looking for a black wagon to start.”
“And why would I do all of that,” Kaiba asked.
“Because it beats sitting on your butt feeling sorry for yourself,” Fang said, “Besides, the guy there tends to know things even though he’s bat crazy.”
“That nose of yours still work?” Kaiba asked.
Fang nodded, “It’s how I knew you were at the door.”
“You mind stopping by the Tower sometime?” Kaiba stood up and collected the folder.
“Is that a request or an order?” Fang asked.
“Take it whatever way you want,” Kaiba turned to the door.
“Hope you find what you’re looking for,” Fang said when Kaiba was at the door.
Kaiba turned, Kiri was just behind him, “So do I.”

Insanity Chapter Twelve

Insanity
Chapter Twelve
~The Wolf among the Sheep~
Day Eleven

Fang lay awake. It was early in the morning but he hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep. Shadow came in at around midnight and reported what he saw. It was good news but it did little to improve Fang's increasingly sour mood. As he lay awake he saw the moon sail silently past his window. He hated how peaceful it looked while it tortured him. There was a knock at the door.
He didn’t answer it and hoped the knocker would go away. Instead Shadow walked in.
“What do you want?” Fang asked.
“Though you would like to know that they are on the move,” Shadow said, “Alister is getting pretty far from home.”

***

Alister sat in the back of the van. Zorah was driving and Scar was in the front passenger seat. Everyone else was in the empty back compartment cleaning their weapons. They were out to rob a bank. Pria sat beside Alister and seemed to distance herself from the group. Yin would occasionally stop by to talk to her. It was almost sickening how much he liked her. Alister just looked the other way.
“We’re almost there,” Zorah called, “Y’all better be ready.”
It was awfully early in the morning but apparently this time of day was when banks expected less trouble. It made sense. You've just opened up shop; you don’t expect to be raided by armed robbers. Alister made sure to keep that in mind just in case one day he would open his own bank.
“Now Pria,” Zorah commanded.
Pria closed her eyes.
“This should deal with those meddling cameras,” D muttered.
“We’re here,” Zorah reported, “Everyone, step lively now. Don’t want ta gain to much attention.”
D opened the sliding door and everyone stepped out. Alister looked at the sign: Star Bank. That was curious. Star Bank wasn’t known for having all that much money in their vaults. It was a very tall bank though. He tried to look disinterested and walked forward. Everyone wore black coats that hid their weapons. They walked across the busy street and up the stairs to the doors.
Inside there was some elevator type music playing. The floors were just waxed and the large tiles shined with the reflected light of the ceiling lights. Some of the cashiers took notice of them but were too busy preparing for the busy day to take too much notice. Some of the security guards were walking around dreary eyed and still filled with sleep. This was the perfect time to rob a bank.
“Stay here,” Zorah told Alister and Scar.
They stayed by the door. Pria knew that she wasn’t needed other than to disrupt the cameras so she stood by Alister. Yin watched Alister closely from the corner of his eye.
D walked toward a few tables there in the lobby and pretended to be writing something. Kitty drummed her nails on a desk beside an aquarium. Niko was talking to a security guard. Zorah walked to the front desk.
“Al’ight, let’s get the formalities out a the way, shall we?” she smiled, “My name is Zorah an this is my crew. We’re ‘ere ta rob you.”
The others drew their weapons. The security guards tried to draw their but when they did, Yin flicked his wrist and took them away. The guns hovered ominously above his head.
“That isn’t goin’ to ‘elp you,” Zorah said as one of the cashier ladies tried to press the emergency button, “Now, let’s try this again. Put de money in de bag!”
She pulled out a large gun and they instantly went to work, filling the bag with handfuls and handfuls of money.
“Now, one of you go ta de volt an get me a little more,” Zorah demanded.
One of the cashiers whimpered and ran to the back. Alister saw her face and the Cop side of him was on the brink of interfering. But he knew that if he did it would be the end of him. D walked around the counter and roughly helped the ladies pack the bags.
There was a faint sound. Everyone grew quiet. Zorah looked at Pria. Pria looked up from the floor. The tall bank had a circle though each floor surrounded by balconies. She closed her eyes.
“Someone’s here,” she said quietly.
“That’s not good,” Scar said.
He stepped into the open spaced and aimed his gun up and fired. Glass shattered and cement was riddled with holes. He fired continuously for a few minutes before he stopped. Silence returned.
“That should do it,” Scar smiled.
“I wouldn’t count on it,” a voice said.
A shadow raced across the wall. Shadow’s arm appeared right under Niko, gabbed her leg, and pulled her into the shadows with him. Penelope jumped over the railing of the fifth floor. Scar raised his gun and fired at her. Penelope smiled and vanished. She appeared behind Scar and caught him by surprise. Penelope punched him, pivoted on her left foot and kicked him with her right. He flew back as a shadow appeared on the left wall. Niko flew out and crashed into Scar.
Surprised, Kitty backed into the aquarium. An aquatic hand appeared and a clear aquatic being rose from the water. Kitty looked up and gasped. She tried to run away but the figure stretched out its hand and a stream of water splashed onto the floor. It touched Kitty’s leg and turned to ice, trapping her leg and preventing her from going anywhere. The aquatic figure stood up and stepped out of the aquarium. When it did, it grew solid into a human form. Blue’s features became more defined.
Kitty used her free leg to kick at him, but Blue caught the punch and kicked her back. The ice broke and Kitty was sent flying into a nearby desk.
Arisa made a fire shield as Yin used the guns that he had acquired from the guards. The bullets exploded on the shield because of the intense heat. When the guns were empty Arisa ran forward to start her attack. Yin extended his arm to one side, his white eyes watching Arisa carefully. He flicked his wrist and a table lifted off the ground. Arisa stopped her advance. She froze. The table was headed right toward her. She felt the impact and screamed. The force of the impact sent her though a glass window and onto the pavement below. She lay still, unconscious.
Arisa’s scream got Blue’s attention. He looked around for her but only saw the broken window. Then he saw Yin. He ran at Yin, full of anger. Kitty tried to trip him with a leg sweep but Blue dodged easily. As Blue ran at Yin, Kitty got to her feet. She was about to go back her teammate up when her path was blocked. Raven stood, her green eyes staring at her opponent. She reached to the knot on her cloak and took it off. Raver wore a purple cloth-like armor. Her long swords were strapped in their sheathes on her back. She reached for one of them and held the hilt with both hands. It was clear she was challenging the girl. Kitty never backed down from a challenge.
“Bring it,” Kitty said as she lengthened her claws.
Raven dropped her sword and attacked.
Blue dodged the flying pens as they dived at him at deadly speeds.
“Haven’t you heard that the pen is mightier than the sword?” Yin inquired, “No? Well, I’ll just have to show you.”
Blue stepped back as one whizzed by right in front of him. He created water in his hands, lengthened it, and created two sais made of ice. Blue’s reactions were quick and fluent. He used the sais to parry the speeding pens. Blue was beginning to show his impatience. He hated being stuck at a distance while his enemy stood there smirking at him. Blue bent backwards, dodging a pen aimed at his head. He was tired of this little game. When he stood upright again he created a dome around himself made of ice. He could hear the occasional thud of the pens hitting the barrier. Blue hit his fist against the front of the barrier and an ice spike shot out of it. It shot forward toward Yin. Quickly Yin shot out both his arms and the spike flattened against an invisible wall. The momentum of the impact seemed to have cracked the wall a little and a small spike extended from the flattened mess and barely touched Yin’s hands. Blue let the barrier drop. The look in his eyes was one of pure hatred.
Raven jumped out of the way as Kitty tried to claw her. She fell lightly on a desk with her arms back and on her sword. She brought the weapon up so it lined up with her eye and charged forward. Kitty sidestepped out of the way. But Raven turned the blade expertly and was about to end the fight when the ground under her feet shook. She lost her footing and a large spike came though the floor. Raven jumped lightly as the spikes followed her, appearing where she had only just been. Her footwork was light and graceful as if she were a crane. Kitty ran quickly and as Raven was focused on moving, she glanced at D and nodded. She jumped and dug her heels into Raven’s stomach. Raven fell on her back and grunted in pain. Kitty’s heels were sharpened at the points. Luckily they didn’t hit anything critical. She took her arm and hit Kitty really hard in the knees. Kitty bent her legs to absorb the hit then Raven took her ankles and lifted her off of her stomach. Suddenly off balance, Kitty fell forward. Seeing this happen, D stomped on the ground. The ground rumbled beneath Raven and she rolled across the floor while several little spikes appeared. She got up to her knees as Kitty got to her feet.
Zorah looked around in shock. The cashiers were hiding behind the counter and the bags still lay open. She zipped it and started to walk toward the open window unnoticed.
“Where do you think you’re going?” a voice said behind her.
She looked and saw Fang, “Oh, well, ‘ello, Love,” she said, “Wish I could stick around but I really must be on my way.”
“And leave your team behind?” Fang said.
“‘Dey look fine ta me,” she smiled, “besides, Love, no point in all a us gettin’ caught, right?”
She touched a bird tattoo on her wrist. It started to move, soon a head popped out of it and soon its whole body was out leaving a bear space where the tattoo used to be. It started out as a blue bird with green, yellow, and white highlights but soon it started to grow until it was in its adult size. Its size was a good fourth of the room.
“‘Sides,” she said again, “I ain’t leavin’ ‘em. I'm leavin' you. Let’s get outa ‘ere!” she shouted and ran.
The others did as they were told and ran out of the building. Alister hesitated.
“Aren’t you coming?” Pria asked; she was posed to leave.
“Yeah,” he said and ran out of the building.
The bird, known as a thunderbird, filled its lungs and screeched. Everyone still in the building had to cover their ears. Fang fell to his knees and pressed his hands to his head so hard they were turning white. His sensitive hearing amplified the sound nearly ten times the actual.
When the bird’s lungs were spent, it flapped its wings and flew toward the windows. They shattered as it crashed through then and flew over the city. Its size grew smaller until it was the size of a normal bird. It spotted the van it was looking for and descended.
Zorah’s arm hung out the window. The bird perched on her hand and put its head hear her arm. It went from its blue color to black. It fit itself back into place in the spot it was before and grew still and lifeless.
“That sure was bogus!” she complained, “Who were those blokes anyhow!?”
She slammed the van to a stop and turned around in her seat. Her eyes were fuming with rage.
“All right! Now someone better start talkin’! There is no way they could have known where we were goin’ to hit! Someone is goin’ ta explain ta me why they did even if I’m gonna have ta gut it out ta ya!” she looked Alister.
She grabbed her staff that was right beside her. Zorah used it to point at him.
“You,” she said in a tone full of murder, “you better hope ta your god dat he saves you afore I gut you like a pig!”

Insanity Chapter Nine

Insanity
Chapter Nine
~Wolf Walkers Hunt Again~
Day Nine

“Once again there was a robbery last night. This time it was at the Island Bank on Gilbert Lane. Local police are saying that it is committed by the same people who have been robbing banks all over the Island. For those of you who are keeping track, this is the third robbery in a row.”
“Stacy, is it true that even the Tower isn't getting involved?”
“It’s not clear but The Tower has made a statement. They sent out a printed statement as usual, Dave. It basically says not to worry and take all your money out of the banks. That would just make the situation worse. They also ask the locals to cooperate with the authorities in catching the criminals that did this. It also makes very clear that the Tower will not get involved in the matter. Personally, I was hoping the Tower would get involved and do something. Back to you Dave.”
“Thanks Stacy. Moving on with today’s news…”

Fang reclined on the living room couch. It was a hot day out and everyone was inside wondering what to do. As usual, Blue and Arisa were playing together with a board game of Chutes and Ladders. Raven watched them. Penelope was reading a manga she had just gotten by illegally hacking into a website database and making herself the sweepstakes winner. Alister and Shadow were both in the pool house.
After they finished their first mission, they hadn’t had another one since. Alister would hear from the grapevine that one of the other teams got a mission overseas or a really cool Island based mission and that didn’t help the mood of the others. They felt understandably rejected by the Tower. But Fang understood. They didn’t have that much of a record yet. Once they made a name for themselves, however, the Tower would surly send them on more important missions.
Fang watched the news. The robberies had been going on now for about three days with no end in sight. He occasionally wondered if the robberies were in retaliation of Victor Anthony’s arrest but soon was against it. Without someone to cover them, the gangs and troublemakers would think twice. Until they got a new leader, that is.
He was thinking about this when the phone rang. Arisa got up and ran to the phone.
“Hello? Hi, Mr. Undertaker, how are you doing today?” she said reciting the proper way to answer the phone like Fang had taught her.
“Oh, okay,” she said, “Fang, it’s for you.”
She held the phone at arm’s length. Fang got up from the couch and walked over. He took the phone from her.
“Hello,” he said.
“Well, hello, sunshine,” the Undertaker’s distinct voice said, “hope you aren’t too board today.”
Fang looked around the room, “We’ve had better days.”
“Well, I have a package for you. When will you be by to pick it up?”
“Now,” Fang said.
“We’ll be seeing you then,” the Undertaker hung up.
Fang put the phone down and grabbed his coat off of the back of the couch.
“I’m going out,” he said to those in the room.
He walked to the Undertaker’s shop. The bell rang and Reighn sat up straight from his writing. He rang the bell on his tail to summon the Undertaker. As usual the Undertaker appeared a few moments later. He smiled at Fang with his insane smile.
“Did you see the news today?” he asked.
“Yeah,” Fang answered.
“Then you heard about the Tower’s statement,” the Undertaker laughed.
“About not getting involved,” Fang nodded, “Yeah, I saw that.”
“They may not be getting involved but you and your team are,” Undertaker reached under the desk and pulled out an envelope, “That should have all the information you need.”
Fang took it, “Thanks.”
He turned around and left.
“I’ll be seeing you,” Undertaker laughed.
“Yeaps,” Reighn nodded.
Back in the house, Fang walked past all the questionable stared and went to his room to look though the folder. In his room, he took off his coat and sat on his bed. He looked though the file. There were blurred pictures of the get-away car and of some people in black masks. There was some notation that the emergency 911 button didn’t work during the robberies and that the cameras, cell phones, and other gadgets went out in a five block radius for the duration of the robberies. The pictures were captured just before they went out or just after. There were some witness statements about them having automatic weapons. Another said that they didn’t say anything at all. The average length of the robberies was less than five minutes. After an hour of looking through the data, Fang took the file and walked down stairs.
It was time for lunch and Shadow had cooked seeing Fang walk up to his room. Everyone was already sitting and eating when Fang walked in. Fang walked over to Penelope and set down a few pages and pictures.
“Figure out what they used and see if you can clear up the images,” he said.
He walked over to Alister and set a few more pages, “Find out what weapons these witnesses are describing.”
“All right, all right, Mr. Bossy,” Alister muttered.
“Please,” Fang said as he walked over to Raven.
“Well, now, that better,” Alister nodded his head.
“And make sure you ask your sources if they know anything about the robberies,” Fang continued.
“Will, do.”
“Raven,” Fang turned his attention to her, “I’d like it if you could get a list of all the banks there are on the island and a list of the ones they have already robbed.”
Raven nodded. Penelope looked angry. She could do that job much better than Raven could.
“Shadow,” Fang moved on, “I’d like you to go down to the Alleys and see what you can hear. With out being noticed of course."
“You got it boss,” Shadow said as he stretched.
“What can I do?” Arisa asked eagerly.
Fang looked at Blue, “Blue, keep her distracted.”
Blue nodded dutifully as Arisa opened her mouth to protest.
“‘Ow come ol’ Blue ‘ere always gets the easy job?” Alister asked.
“Because that’s how I want it,” Fang said as he sat down in his seat, “Now if you don’t mind, would someone please pass the potatoes.”

***
The Alleys

Shadow walked around the alleys. He felt at home here with the alley walls around him. After all, this type of environment was where Fang found him in the first place. He came across a group of people. They glanced at him and he nodded back. The kind of nod that said don’t mind me, I’m just passing though.
Then when they turned away, Shadow leaned against the wall. He seemed to soak into the wall, turning into a shadow himself. He walked in the wall as an unnoticed shadow. He moved closer until he was on the same wall as the others and listened.
“You hear ‘bout Tristan?” one said.
“Yea, man! He be going round bragin’ ‘bout bein’ part of dat robin’, man!” said another.
“He ‘bout ta git hiself kilt if he keep dat up, dude,” said the third man.
“Tristan always been saying stuff, man!” said the second man.
“The dude be one crazy fool,” the first one.

***
The Mansion

Penelope stared at the scans of the pictures. The glare of the screen was clear in her glasses. She was waiting as one of the pictures cleared and zoomed. She looked away and typed on a laptop. Penelope looked online looking for a device capable of killing signals and cameras but had no luck. Then she realized that the device was probably homemade and started looking though the under-webs. A secret place where hackers and other types chatted and talked.
Her computer chimed and she looked at the pictures and smiled.
“Bingo!” she shouted.

Fang sat in his room. He looked at what was left of the file when he sensed something. Fang reached for his gun and aimed it at the wall.
“Calm down,” a voice whispered, “It’s just me.”
A shadow shifted.
“Come out, Shadow,” Fang placed his gun back in its holster.
Shadow stepped out of the wall. He smiled.
“I have information,” Shadow said.
“Let’s hear it,” Fang nodded.
“There seems to be someone by the name of Tristan that claims he was one of the ones that robbed the banks. There is a high possibility that this person is just moving his mouth but I think he’s worth looking in to. He might have some information worth pursuing.”
“I’ll look into it,” Fang said.
“You know,” Shadow observed, “I’ve never seen you use that gun.”
“And maybe you never will,” Fang answered.
“Fang, Fang, Fang, Fang!” Penelope barged into the room.
She gave him a big hug then ran around the room.
“I looked into the pictures and I found something interesting!” she shouted.
“Care to share?” Shadow asked.
“One of the pictures got a glimpse of one of the robber’s wrists. It had a very distinct tattoo on it.”
“What was the tattoo?” Fang asked.
“It was of a Dancing Dragon!” Penelope laughed.
“What does that have to do with anything?” Shadow asked.
“The Dancing Dragon Gang! They are the most notorious gang in the whole Island!” Penelope explained.
“Interesting,” Fang smiled, “It’s about time we had some fun around here.”
