Question About Airships

This has nothing to do with any of the stories that I am posting on Insanity Storiz but its for something else. See, I have this dilemma. In this story that I hope will one day be published there is this air ship.

(You know, like floating ships.)

The thing is....I dont know all that much about boats. Well, I guess determining the size would be more specific. I drew out this really cool looking air craft but then I was like "So how many feet/meters is it?" and I couldn't answer that.

I mean it isn't the largest vessel in the world. Its small but not to small. There will be five people living on it at once so it cant be puny.

So I'm gonna show you a picture and you just tell me what you see.
Now I'm not saying I'm the best free hand drawer ever so don't chew me out.
Just some questions to bare in mind while you look at it:

How big do you think it is?
Is there something I (the artist) could do better?
Can watermelons spontaneously fall from the sky?

o.o Well... there it is... please comment below.

The Turn: Chapter Twenty-Five

The Turn
Chapter Twenty-Five
~Call the Wolves~
Two Years before The Turn

Zara jerked awake. Lazily she looked around the subway. Across from her, Hina lay asleep on her brother’s shoulder. Naru was the most aware and awake of the rest of them. Deontay sat a little ways away. His head tilted forward in slumber. Vicky stood holding on to one of the overhead bars. She had an inner strength that had yet to come out.
“Good morning,” Chaud sounded as chipper as ever.
Zara glared at him. He sat just to her left. Even after all the traveling they had just gone through, he was still in a very good mood. They were all about at the end of their ropes. After touching down in the middle of the desert, they promptly stole a van and drove toward their last location: California. Now they were on their last leg where they needed to get to a safe house.
The train finally stopped and the six weary travelers got off the train. They walked to the surface. Zara shifted the weight of her back on her shoulders before walking on. They continued down the streets until they reached a secluded alley. Deontay lifted a manhole and the rest of them crawled in.
“Oh, yuck,” Hina muttered as she covered her nose.
Naru turned on a flashlight.
“Come on,” Zara sighed, “the sooner we get to where we’re going the sooner we can all sleep.”
Quickly they walked through the sewers until they reached a dead end. A small electrical box sat to one side. Naru opened it revealing a complex security system. He pulled a few wires and typed a little on the key pad. Suddenly the wall pushed back and slid open.
As they walked in, it was immediately noticeable that the air quality was much better. There was a hum as equipment in the room started to activate. A low blue glow signaled things were turning on. The metal grated floor under their feet rattled as they walked.
“Alright, we have a week at most, more likely less, to get the information we need. Chaud, Hina, and Deontay get to sleep first. Vicky will help me get the system up while Naru hooks up his laptop,” Zara instructed.
Groggily, Hina and Deontay walked off. Chaud stood there with his hands in his back pockets.
“You know,” he started to say; “You look pretty tired yourself.”
“Yeah, so,” Zara turned and walked over to one of the computers.
“Well, you should get some rest,” Chaud shrugged.
“I will,” Zara looked up at him, “later.”
“Fine!” Chaud walked away, “Just thought you might want some rest. I was just giving you a chance.”
“Just go!” Zara shook her head. She turned to look at Naru, he looked to be self-reliant. Vicky stood awkwardly waiting for instruction, “You can start over there. Let’s see if we could get some of these computers online. Getting connected to the Tower database won’t be easy without being noticed.”
“I could do it!” Chaud called.
Zara sighed, “Really?”
Chaud turned and walked back. He was typing away at his cell phone. “Shouldn’t take long,” he said when he was done.
Sure enough, more lights turned on and the large screen against the opposite wall turned on. All the computers turned on and the sliding wall closed in place. A small animated character jumped onto all the screens. It twirled and jumped. When it stopped it pulled a box out of its pocket and opened it. The screens all went black for a moment but slowly started to regain their image. A world map appeared on the large screen and different applications on the smaller ones.
“This is the Tower’s database?” Zara asked.
“No,” Chaud shook his head, “It IS the Tower. Well, at least we see what they see. And can use what they use. Miwa really outdid himself.” The latter he muttered to himself.
“Miwa?” Zara asked.
“A friend,” Chaud shrugged and started walking toward the sleeping quarters.
“You know, I was wondering why you were taking forever! I was talking to Bridget for like ten minutes!”
“I have no idea what you are talking about!” Chaud called over his shoulder.
“Chaud, I swear! Arg!” Zara turned her back on Chaud and walked to one of the computers. “Start looking for anything to do with the New Order!” she shouted at Vicky.
“Yes, ma’am,” Vicky darted to another computer and started typing feverishly.

IOIOIOIOI

“Really?” Sirius nodded as he listened to Bridget’s complaint the next day.
“Yeah!” Bridget crossed her arms, “I just thought you might want to know. She was in here wanting to get something from upstairs. I sent her on her way.”
Sirius thought a moment, “That doesn’t sound like her to forget something. Even if she did, it doesn’t sound like her at all to give up that easily.”
“That’s what happened,” Bridget shrugged.
“Thank you,” Sirius continued on his way up to his office.
Kaiba and Kiri were already there. He greeted the both of them a good morning. He sat in his desk and took a quick glance at the piles of paper work on his desk. He took a sip of his coffee. His eyes narrowed in thought. It wasn’t like Zara at all. She would have barged up the stairs with Bridget clinging to her legs. Sirius took out his cell phone. There was a messaged that he received from his son the day before saying something about him staying at a friend’s house. He called Chaud. The call went directly to voicemail that wasn’t set up yet. He then called Deontay’s apartment number. No luck there either. Sirius pressed a button on his desk phone.
“Do you need something?” Kaiba sighed.
“You don’t happen to know where your brother is, do you?” Sirius asked.
There was a slight pause, “Which one?”
“Chaud,” Sirius responded.
“Wasn’t he at Deontay’s house?”
“He switched phones again,” he said as if it has some weight.
Kaiba sighed, “That’s never good. I’ll see if I can track him by his Agent tracking number.”
“Report what you find,” Sirius remembered something, “Call the others too would you?”
“Sure.”
Sirius waited; his elbows on the desk, hands folded anxiously under his chin. Chaud, he knew, had and uncanny ability to disappear. He also knew that his son had at least a dozen different cellphones and switched them around on a regular basis. If one was older than three months, he would toss it and by a new one keeping the memory chip. And then there was his ability to plan and execute. Honestly, Chaud was probably better at that than even Kaiba. It just seemed to come naturally for him.
His cell phone rang. The caller ID read Chaud but he didn’t recognize the number. He answered it.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Dad,” came his son’s voice, “You called?”
“Yes, I did,” Sirius sat back in his chair, “Just wondering where you are.”
“You know, around,” Chaud said in a dismissive manor.
“Around?”
“Yeah, just hanging around with some friends. We’re going for ice cream later. Got to go, okay, dad. We’ll see ya around, alright!” Chaud hung up.
Sirius put down his phone, “Around.”
It’s a hard thing to lie to family. They know you so well. They know that you look up or down when you’re lying or you do that weird thing with your nose. Or that you can’t stop fidgeting or you can’t look them in the eyes. In Chaud’s case, he used the word ‘around’ when he didn’t want to be found. It couldn’t be helped. It was his family tell. Sirius tried to call the number again.
I’m sorry; this is not a valid number. Goodbye!
Kaiba walked in, “Their Agent numbers aren’t in the system. It’s as if they were wiped from the system. And all their phone numbers aren’t valid anymore.”
Kiri walked in just then, “Kaiba had me check the security cameras. They were disabled yesterday and any existing footage was erased.”
Kaiba looked at his father’s blank expression, “You don’t look surprised.”
“He called,” Sirius stood up, “He’s says they’ll see us ‘around’.”
Kaiba rolled his eyes, “Great.”
Kiri looked around, confused, “What? What does that mean?”
Sirius smiled, “It means we won’t be seeing them for a while.
Kiri looked at Sirius, “You mean they left the Island?”
“Zara was never really the type to give up,” Sirius walked out of the office.
Kaiba followed him, “What are we going to do? We have agents on AWAL. We need to get them back but we don’t even have a place to start.”
Sirius entered the elevator, “We’ll get them back.”
“You’re fairly confident,” Kiri noted.
“More like terrified, really,” Sirius looked to Kaiba, “Your mother would have my head if she found out.” He sighed, “This will be an interesting conversation at dinner tonight.”
Kiri saluted, “Good luck, sir.”
“You did set up your will so I will inherit your seat right?” Kaiba’s expression was all serious.
“Thank you,” he said to Kiri. He turned to Kaiba, “Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
The elevator door closed.

IOIOIOIOI

There was a knock at the door. A dissatisfied groan was heard from the sleeping figure in bed. Gold eyes looked at a nearby clock. A sliver of light made its way through the drawn curtains.
“Go away,” the man growled.
“I would, but I can’t,” a figure walked into the room, “We have a visitor!”
Fang sat up in bed. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes. His hair was now mostly white than black. There were still a few black strands to be seen but not many. The night before had been a long one. Alister had though that it would be a brilliant idea to dabble in the arts and take on painting. All well and good but there was one thing Alister failed to mention: he was intending to ‘paint’ with a flamethrower. Thought it would be ironic or something stupid like that. Because of that, Fang had been up late that night.
He looked up at Shadow as he rummaged through his drawers, “Who’s here?”
“You’d never guess,” Shadow smiled.
Fang waited a moment for more information. There was none, “That’s why I’m asking. Who is visiting?”
Shadow tossed some clothed at Fang, “Here. You’ll just have to see when you get down there.”
“I swear, Shadow, tell me or I will strangle you! I do not have the patience today,” Fang stood up, his eyes narrowing on Shadow.
Shadow didn’t feel threatened, “Tsk, tsk, are we impatient today. You should curb that attitude before to meet out guest.”
Fang stepped closer to Shadow. Seeing that Fang just might make good on his threat, Shadow made his way briskly to the door.
“Shall I tell out guest that you should be down in the dining room shortly?” Shadow said with a smile.
Fang got dressed and freshened up. He walked down the steps and entered the living room. Arisa, now a blossoming young lady, sat on the couch texting away on one of those gizmos. Naturally, Lumin, formally known as Blue, was sitting next to her reading a book.
“Good morning, Fang,” Lumin acknowledged without looking up from his book.
Arisa looked up from her text, “Hello!”
Fang nodded a greeting to both of them. He passed the large staircase as Penelope ran down the stairs. Inevitably, she tripped and broke her glasses all before she even changed out of her pajamas. Fang paused a moment, considering whether he should turn and help. He glanced over his shoulder.
“Ow,” she muttered.
Penelope pulled a spare from her pocket. She turned to see Fang and smiled sheepishly. Fang determined that she would be fine and carried on.
Alister walked out of the kitchen. His flaming red hair was a complete mess. He had an automatic weapon slung over his shoulder. Fang eyed him closely, wondering what he had done to the kitchen this time.
Raven sailed past both of them, a canvas in her arms as she headed out to the backyard. After Fang had forbidden Alister to even think about painting, Raven had taken up the notion. They had plenty of spare canvases now and Fang saw it as something to help her express herself.
Finally, Fang walked into the dining room. He paused only slightly when he saw who it was.
Sirius tuned at Fang’s entrance. He had been looking at a painting on the wall. Fang walked cautiously forward.
“Hello Fang,” Sirius greeted.
Fang said nothing.
“Well, I’m sure you want to get straight to the point,” Sirius said.
Fang looked around, “More or less.”
Sirius sighed, “I have some Agents I need you to find.”

The Turn: Chapter Twenty-Four

The Turn
Chapter Twenty-Four
~A Beautiful Performance~
Two Years before The Turn

About five days later, Zara stepped out of a taxi in front of the Tower steps. She walked into the building and passed the reception desk. The same woman took sight of her.
“Hello, this is the Tower, hold please,” the secretary chimed. She suddenly stood in up and extended her arm in a dramatic point, “YOU THERE! WHAT ARE YOU GOING ON TOWER PROPERTY!? GET OVER HERE!”
Zara turned around. She smiled awkwardly and walked over to the circular desk. The other secretaries barely flinched. Apparently this was a usual enough occurrence.
When Zara walked up, the head secretary glared at her, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you on vacation?”
“Well, yeah—”
“So aren’t you FORBIDEN from being within 100 feet from the Tower?”
“Yes, but—”
“Then I suggest, and by suggest I mean “DO IT OR YOU’RE FIRED”, that you leave now.”
“But I left something upstairs and I was hoping to just get it really quick—”
“No.”
“It would take five minutes flat!”
“No.”
“Could you call Sirius and ask if I could?”
“If I had to call Sirius for every Agent that was on Tower property when they weren’t supposed to, he’d never get a break.”
“Come on—” Zara glanced at her name tag, “Bridget!”
“No.”
“PLEASE! It’s really important!”
“No.”
“WHY?!?
The front doors opened and Chaud walked in casually. He walked past the reception desk behind Bridget’s back. He walked up a balcony and down a hallway. Chaud appeared to be counting steps when he came to a broom closet. He walked inside and found a small electrical box. He reached in to his pocket and pulled out an array of cords. He started pulling out cords and replacing them left and right. A small transmitting device flashed silently and showed that it was working. When he was done he closed the box and left the room.
Some ways away, Naru sat at a computer in a library. A lap top lay open beside him. On the library computer, Naru glanced at time at the upper right hand corner. He had an hour and a half, more than enough time. Naru typed in a series of keys and suddenly the screen went black. He waited patiently and the picture came back. The screen read, The Tower: Unauthorized Access.
Naru keyed the name Sirius Galaxy. He then inserted a flash drive into the computer and waited. Once the drive was installed it started figuring out the password. It took a short time for it to figure out the right combination and Naru was in. He navigated his way to the security videos.
Chaud headed down another hallway and entered an elevator. He pressed a button down in the basement. The elevator asked for a name and password. Because Chaud spent so much time watching his family he knew Kaiba’s password. He typed his name and password in. Then the elevator asked for an ID. Chaud opened a small electric box and swapped a few wires. The elevator started moving.
When the doors reopened Chaud entered a dark room. Chaud stood in the dark room.
“Hey, Miwa! You in here?” Chaud called out into the darkness.
For a moment, nothing happened. Suddenly, a single square of blue light turned on in the darkness. Soon more and more squares of lights turned on giving Chaud just enough light to see. Smaller lights turned on on the ground, showing Chaud a single walkway. In the center of the room there was an array of computer screens all showing different things. Cords snaked around the room connecting to different monitors or into the wall. Suspended several feet off the ground surrounded by screens was a human like object. Its gender neutral form glowed a nebulous blue in color as it hung suspended in the air, wires flowing out of it. Chaud walked up and waited.
Blue electronic eyes looked down at Chaud. A smile even seemed to appear on its face. Slowly, the object descended. When its foot touched the floor the cords connected to its body detached. Steam filled the room for a moment as Chaud waited patiently.
A boy around Chaud’s age walked toward Chaud through the steam. He looked different from the glowing humanoid that had descended. He had blond disorganized hair. As for his clothes, he wore a short sleeved red sweatshirt with an orange t-shirt underneath. He also wore tan cargo shorts and sandals.
“It’s been a while, Chaud,” the boy said with a wide smile, “I was beginning to think you forgot about me!”
“You’re a hard person to forget, Miwa,” Chaud nodded. He looked around, “Back in punishment?”
Miwa shrugged, “Apparently infecting the Tower system with a virus is frowned upon. What can I say? Is it so bad for a humanoid like me to experiment? Anyway, I like it here. It gives me time to think.”
“What have you been thinking about?” Chaud asked.
“Well, usually I think about all the practical jokes I could play when I get out but this time I was thinking about why your team mate Naru would hack into the Tower’s system,” Miwa winked, “What are you up to?”
“How did you know about Naru?” Chaud asked, ignoring the question.
Miwa jerked his thumb toward the array of computers and wires, “I’ve been connected to the system for days. I can feel when someone isn’t where they are supposed to be.”
“I need your help,” Chaud stated.
“Naturally,” Miwa laughed.
“I need you to send a message to the supply craft that’s headed out this afternoon. Tell them that they will be transporting six civilians and quite a few guns and ammo. On top of that, I want the information that was on Naru’s laptop from the mission sent back to him.”
Miwa looked to the ceiling debating the request. He knew Chaud since he had been activated. Together they caused a lot of trouble. A smile spread across Miwa’s face.
“I don’t see why not,” Miwa shrugged.
“I also need you to be my eyes and ears,” Chaud smiled.
“And cover you tracks, right?” Miwa rolled his eyes, “What are you guys going anyway?”
“I can’t tell you that.”
Miwa placed his hands in front of him, palm out, “I get it! But you owe me! I need to get out of here and breathe. Then maybe we can see how your brother reacts when his computer suddenly crashes.”
Chaud paused a moment then smiled, “That sounds like fun, actually.”
“Do you need fake ID’s?” Miwa asked.
“We have a friend taking care of that,” Chaud turned around, “I’ll see you around. Do try to get out of punishment while you’re at it!”
Miwa smiled ecstatically, “Oh! This feels even better than the time I made all the computers in the Tower freeze up! Sirius was so ANGRY!”
Chaud walked back the way he came. Zara was still desperately trying to persuade the secretary to let her fetch an item. Momentarily, their eyes met as Chaud walked out the door.
“Fine!” Zara shouted with frustration, “I’m leaving! Gosh!”
“It’s about time too!” Bridget stated, smiling with victory.
Zara walked out the door and down the few steps to the sidewalk.
“We are so getting fired after this,” Zara muttered.
Beside her Chaud shrugged, “Depends on if we do a good job or fail miserably.”
Zara glanced at him, “To think you came up with this way to execute the plan. It’s actually pretty decent.”
Chaud smiled, “See what happens when you give me enough time. I can make wonderful pieces of art. I should have been a movie director.”
“Shall we head for the terminal?” Zara asked.
“Might as well,” Chaud nodded.

IOIOIOIOI

“Is this the place?”
“No! It just says Puppetmaster for effect!”
“Oh, do we go in?”
“Of course not! We just stand out here and wait for something to happen!”
Puppetmaster looked up from his work and looked outside his shop door. He watched for a moment then turned to Shuppet who was sitting by his side.
“Do you think they will ever come in?” Puppetmaster asked.
Shuppet shook its head.
“They are rather loud aren’t they?”
Shuppet nodded.
“Well, we might as well let them in, don’t you think?” Puppetmaster said. He reached up for a thin string, it was barely visible. He pulled it and slowly the door opened putting an end to his visitor’s conversation at the door.
“Hello, ladies,” Puppetmaster smiled.
Vicky and Hina looked into the shop. Vicky entered first while Hina followed after her.
“Hello,” Vicky said politely.
“Good day,” Puppetmaster greeted warmly.
Vicky looked up at the dolls on the shelves. They were all still but they were all looking at her with a certain degree of curiosity.
“Have you sold anything today?” Vicky asked Puppetmaster.
“Four,” Puppetmaster said as he looked down at his newest creation.
“Only four?” Hina raised a shocked eyebrow.
“It’s quite a feat considering that I do barely any advertising,” Puppetmaster laughed.
Shuppet moved suddenly.
“Bless you,” Puppetmaster responded to the sudden jolt.
Vicky looked confused, “What?”
“Can we have the fake ID’s now?” Hina asked, “We’re on a tight deadline.”
Puppetmaster pulled out a wooden box similar to the ones that he placed his sold dolls in. He handed it to Hina. She looked inside with Vicky looking over her shoulder. Hina held one up to the light and whistled.
“These are really good,” she stated, “I mean they aren’t Tower good but they are up there.”
“Where did you get them?” Vicky asked Puppetmaster.
“You know that mansion up the ways a little? Nice people. I think they used to work for the Tower at one point,” Puppetmaster shrugged, not giving it a second though.
Hina placed the ID inside the box again, “Thanks! We’ll be seeing ya!”
She turned around and headed for the door. Vicki hesitated a moment. She bowed her apology silently before following behind Hina.
Puppetmaster smiled and waved after them, “They are going to get in so much trouble.”
Shuppet nodded as it waved as well.
“I really need to make dolls out of them,” Puppetmaster chuckled to himself, “The trick is getting their hair.”
In the library, Naru typed away at the library’s computer. He had five minutes left to finish what he needed to. His laptop chimed suddenly. He looked over at it. Computer gibberish scrolled across the screen followed by an animated character carrying a note. It had blond hair and wore a red sweater and cargo pants. The character opened the letter and disappeared.

“Chaud said you would need this! X3”

Naru smiled. With that done, he closed out of his computer and walked off with his laptop under his arm.

IOIOIOIOI

Deontay headed toward a large plane. People were already loading large crates of things into the plane. He smiled slightly as he saw the crates. Hopefully Chaud was able to get some weapons on the plane.
He walked closer and smiled at the pilot who was telling people where to put different boxes, “Hey! Need any help?”
The pilot looked at him, “Who are you? You one of the people I’m supposed to drop off?”
“That we are,” Zara said as she and Chaud walked up.
The captain looked at them all skeptically, “There were six of you, right?”
“They’ll be here in a bit,” Chaud answered.
“They better be,” the captain said through clenched teeth, “We leave in ten minutes.”
After the captain walked away, Naru walked up a satchel bag over one shoulder carrying his laptop. Soon after, Hina and Vicky showed up with a wooden box. The captain called them into the airplane and the six of them sat in the cargo section of the plane. The plane took off and the six of the teens dealt with the annoying air pressure building up in their ears.
“Alright,” Chaud said, looking at his watch, “I think it’s been long enough.”
“You think?” Zara asked.
“What do you expect of me? I can’t help it if the captain flies off course 10-15 miles! It’s all about the air currents!”
Zara rolled her eyes. She glanced over at Deontay. He stood up and walked toward the captain’s door. He hit in in a way that it would be very difficult to open again. The captain could be heard yelling at them but they ignored his cries.
Hina opened one of the crates. She handed out parachutes to her other team mates.
“I don’t need one,” Zara said, she looked at Chaud, “You had better catch me.”
“Believe me, I want to. I can’t imagine the torment I would suffer if I let you die,” he rubbed the back of his head, “The worse thing would be I couldn’t fight back. Ghosts are kind of hard to hit.”
“Grab some weapons,” Zara said.
Naru opened one of the boxes and gripped one of the sniper rifles. He looked through the scope for a moment before taking it off and throwing it back into the box. Deontay shook his head and muttered something along the lines of ‘Show off’.
Zara walked to the back of the plane and pressed a button. The back of the plane opened, revealing the sky and the ground far below. She looked down briefly before turning to the others.
“Okay,” she started, “as of now, we have to assume that the Tower is after us as well as the New Order. We’re going to have to be very careful, more careful than usual. Our goal is to find out as much as we can about the New Order and find them before the Tower finds us. Ready?”
She got confident looks from everyone. Zara nodded satisfied and turned around. She jumped off. One by one, the others followed after her. Chaud was the last one. He looked around himself for a moment and nodded.
“Don’t think anyone else in the family could have done better,” he said admiring his handy work. He walked off the edge and followed the others.
