The Turn: Chapter Forty-One

The Turn
Chapter Forty-One
~The End of the Order – Part 1~
The Turn

The Prologue takes place here:
It might be a good idea to re-read it.

Zara took off the cowl of her hood. She gripped both of her katana. The other five figures around of her turned toward her. She smiled and walked up to the first figure in black. Zara pulled off the hood. Chaud’s face appeared. He smiled at her. His hair was dyed completely black. He drew his weapon and looked at her.
“Long time no see,” Chaud smiled.
Zara raised an eyebrow, “Really? You’ve been keeping an eye on me all this time. I just haven’t been able to spot you. How’s your little sister?”
Chaud nodded, “She’s alright. I’ve got her hidden away somewhere while we finish things up here.”
“Speaking of which,” Deontay walked up, “When are we going to get started?”
His curly brown hair was shaved off. He smiled his signature care free smile as he looked at his team mates. Deontay playfully punched Chaud in the shoulder. Chaud rubbed his sore arm.
“Watch it, Deontay,” Hina laughed, “You’re going to get us all bruised up before the fun even starts!”
Hina didn’t look to different. Her hair was in a pixie cut. She had her hands on her hips. The chains that that Puppetmaster gave her were wrapped around her arms. The diamond pendulum hung at the end of the chains. Her brother stood beside her. He had a more dramatic appearance. A snake tattoo decorated the left side of his face. His hair was tied back. A compound bow was on his strapped to his back. Deontay raised a curious eyebrow.
“Well, you look…different,” Deontay stated.
Naru shrugged, “Seemed like a good idea at the time. Luckily when this is all over we can head back home and I can take this off.”
“I think it looks fine,” Hina nudged her brother.
Naru narrowed his eyes, “It was your idea.”
Hina shrugged, “Who said you had to listen?”
Vicky stood off to one side. Her hair was cut short as if she pulled her hair into a ponytail and cut the tail off. A large shuriken hung from her back and she held a throwing axe in one hand. Zara noticed that there was a look in her eyes that was different. It seems that the time Vicky had over the past year had changed her in some way. She looked more confident and sure of her abilities. Zara wondered what Vicky had gone through. Vicky steadied her stance.
“Look out, Order-bots,” Vicky pointed.
Zara looked over her shoulder. The street behind them was filled with robot. Unlike any of the Tower’s android robots, these looked very primitive. They had a basic human structure but had a metal frame instead of a human appearance.
“Looks like we’ve done a great job on out end so for,” Chaud smiled.
Zara glanced at him, “Yeah, but we need to keep this up while the others deal with Scar.”
Chaud shrugged, “I guess so.”
STOP! IN THE NAME OF THE ORDER!” the robots chanted in unison as the marched forward.
Deontay cracked his knuckles and slammed the ground. Slabs of rock jetted out from the ground toward the coming enemies. Hina ran forward on top of the flat rocks. She leaped up and unwrapped the chains around her arms. The chains sailed through the air with a purplish tinge to them. Hina landed on the ground, a shock wave radiated from where she landed. The chains landed in front of her. The ground broke where the chains landed, throwing the robots to either side.
Zara ran forward with Vicky by her side. Vicky grabbed the shuriken from her back and threw it. The shuriken spun creating a kind of tornado picking up several robots and threw them in all directions. Zara took a katana and drove it into the nearest robot. She spun around and beheaded another robot with the other katana. More robots charged at her. Zara gripped her katana and a blue flame engulfed them both. She slashed at the robots sending out waves of fire, engulfing several robots at once.
Vicky took one of her axes and threw it at a robot. The axe lodged in the robots forehead. Vicky took the other axe and lunched at another robot. She jabbed the blade of her axe in the robots shoulder where the shoulder met with its neck. Vicky pulled the axe out and attacked another robot while she pulled out her second axe from the downed robots forehead.
With most of the robots down in their vicinity, Vicky looked around and saw Zara looking at her. She smiled sheepishly before she caught her spinning shuriken in the air. Vicky looked at Zara again and pointed.
“Look out!” she cried.
Zara looked over her shoulder. A robot raised its issued gun at her. Before it could fire the gun it was riddled by bullets and fell into a heap. Zara looked around and saw Chaud standing a ways back reloading his gun. He smiled back at her and waved. Zara rolled her eyes.
“He never takes anything seriously,” Zara muttered.
Chaud fired into the crowd of robots. He stayed back with Naru shooting down any robots that got through the others and started for them. Chaud kept an eye on Zara and Vicky, firing at the robots that threatened them. Several robots charged forward toward Chaud. He grabbed his other gun and it turned into a blade. The sword crackled with electricity.
He slashed down several robots. Electricity jumped from one robot to another overloading each system before jumping to the other. Chaud stabbed a robot in the chest and used it as a shield. Many robots fired at him as he got his gun and fired back. An arrow shot through one of the robots’ heads.
Naru stood back firing arrows. He crated arrows out of water and ice and fired them with the bow he had. His aim was spot on. He barely aimed before firing each arrow and each arrow found its mark, sometimes several marks. Naru shot the last robot that Chaud was facing and turned his attention back to where his sister and Deontay were.
Hina and Deontay were doing well on their own but they were surrounded by robots. Naru raised his bow, aimed and fired. A snake made of water slithered underneath the shadow of the ice arrow causing damage where ever it could. Ice shards jetted up beside it, slaying robots left and right while clearing an escape route if they needed it.
A shadow loomed over him and Naru looked up. There was a blimp-like object hovering over them. Zara looked up and swore. A device was dropped down into the center of the battle field. It was like the Silver Void device that was used on the Island. It crashed down and gave an ominous hum as it activated.
Zara and the others fell to their knees. Chaud reached into his pocket and pulled out a jet injector that looked very much like a pen. He pressed the button on top and jabbed the pen in to his thigh. The blue liquid entered his system. There was a rumble of thunder in the distance and the sky darkened.
Chaud looked up; his eyes were now a gold color unlike his usual blue. A bolt of lightning shot through the blimp destroying the balloon. The blimp crashed further up the street from their current position.
A robotic dog appeared to walk out of explosion. It’s solid blue eyes and lines looked to glow. There was a massive Gatling gun strapped to its back. It opened its mouth releasing a robots arm that it had been carrying. The gun started to spin as it made a cranking sound. Zara and the others knew enough to get out of the way. The dog gunned down the remaining robots. When the gun was spent the gun stopped spinning and the dog walked forward.
The dog grabbed the device in its teeth and looked at the others, “I think I’ll be taking this with. It’s been great seeing you guys.”
Hina crossed her arms, “You weren’t on that blimp were you?”
“Well, no,” Miwa looked at Chaud, “It did almost fall on top of me though.”
Chaud shrugged, “Sorry.”
There was an explosion in the distance. Zara turned to look. With hands on her hips she nodded.
“Looks like the others a waking up to,” she stated. Zara looked at Miwa, “Go ahead and get that thing out of here. I hate the way it makes me feel.”
“Right-o!” Miwa started walking off, “See you guys later!”
Zara looked around, “Looks like everything is going exactly as your dad planned it.”
“It’s just another big turning point,” Naru stated.
“Yeah, but it will be a little harder to hide the Island’s existence now,” said Deontay.
“Speaking of the Island,” Vicky said quietly.
Zara cut in, “We’ll worry about that when it comes. For now, I just want to punch this Scar guy in the face.”
Chaud raised an eye brow, “I thought it was Kaiba’s job to apprehend Scar.”
Zara looked at him, “Yeah, but not before I get to punch Scar in the face.”
“Ha, ha,” Deontay laughed heartily, “That’s what I’m talkin’ about!”
